Job Summary:
The primary function of this position is to be responsible for all payroll related activities, including reconciling each general ledger account at month-end.
In addition, the position is responsible for administering and reconciling the 401K-retirement account.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain confidentiality of employee records.
- Processing of payroll on a bi-weekly schedule
- Balance and compare time and attendance for employees
2) Compare payroll to previous payroll cycle
3) Make all necessary changes to employee deductions/earnings
4) Monitor payroll activities for each individual
5) Oversee/manage child support and other garnishments
6) Prepare & analyze standard payroll reports
- Oversee all aspects of 401K Plan, including year-end filings
- Collaborate with Controller to reconcile accounts.
- Keep up-to-date on payroll and retirement laws
- Quarterly and year-end tax reporting

Education, Skills and Experience:
Required:
- At least two years experience in payroll or human resources.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, with an emphasis on Excel.
Preferred, but not required:
- Previous experience with ADP Payroll Processing
- Experience with reconciling General Ledger accounts
- Knowledge of tax reporting requirement
Physical Demands:
- Use of computer keyboard and mouse, and multi-line phone.
Work Environment:
- Primarily shared office environment.
- Many interruptions and employees in the office throughout the day.
- May be required to enter the machine shop environment at times throughout the work day; this environment may include exposure to noise, dust, fumes, vapor from coolant, etc.
- Possible skin and inhaled contact with various sealants, paints, adhesives, and other chemicals may occur.
- The Company provides industry standard safety equipment, and specific notice is posted in areas where safety equipment is required.
- Safety training is required and provided by the Company in accordance with applicable law, industry standards, and Company policy.
